This unique project showcases a rare opportunity to incorporate modern design into a historical home.
This charming 1930’s bungalow has transformed the dated kitchen into that of a home-cook’s dream space. A leaky dishwasher caused the homeowners of this 1938 Bungalow in Five-Points to begin the kitchen renovation of their dreams. We had the opportunity to design a modern kitchen that would be aesthetically pleasing to this historic home.
We raised the ceilings in the room to bring in more natural light and used tongue-and-groove wood on the walls to keep with the historic charm of the property.
After living in the home for more than 30 years, this family is thrilled that they decided to make this space their own. Now that the kitchen is done, they’ve hired Bret Slaton Homes to update their back porch area as well!
